History of theatre - Italy

History of Theatre

As agreed in the project approved in September 2016, the five partners (France – the coordinator, Germany, Greece, Italy and Spain) have to set up an exhibition focusing on some of the most remarkable representatives in the history of their respective national dramas. The authors or the genres dealt with in the exhibition planned by Liceo Scientifico “Giovanni Da  Procida”  in Salerno are  the following:

Niccolò Machiavelli, The Commedia dell’Arte, Carlo Goldoni, Alessandro Manzoni, Giacomo Puccini, Dario Fo, Luigi Pirandello, Eduardo De Filippo. Therefore our theatre from the 16th century till today is displayed. Teachers of several disciplines as well as students from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes have been involved in different ways: an introductive video for the exhibition, both digital drawings and portraits of the chosen authors, presentations in English of the authors.  Such an exhibition implying artistic skills  has been a serious challenge for a scientific school. A hard but fascinating work!!
